1983, lives and works in Amsterdam (NL)
Working across installation, sculpture, photography, printmaking, and graphic design, my practice explores how spaces shape the way people move, interact, and behave. I am interested in public space as a constructed environment in which architecture, scenography, and visual elements subtly direct our actions and interactions.
My work often transforms spaces into staged environments where visitors become part of the composition itself. Through installations, sculptural objects, and spatial interventions, I explore the relationship between structure and play, control and movement, reality and illusion.
Alongside my autonomous practice, I have worked collaboratively in a variety of contexts. From 2011 onwards, I was part of the artist collective Polly’s Picture Show, which developed exhibitions, publications, and large-scale spatial installations that merged photography, scenography, curating, and collective making. In later years, the collective mainly consisted of collaborations between Anna de Jong and myself, focusing on installations in public space.
In addition to my autonomous work, I collaborate on commissioned projects in the fields of art, design, and public space, including projects developed with Marjan van Aubel Studio. My current work continues to explore how spatial structures and visual language influence the way we experience and navigate space.
